Mayor Of Panhandle Town Found Dead In Home

BLOUNTSTOWN, Fla. -- Police say the mayor of a Panhandle town has been found dead.Marsha Harpool took office in 2006 as the first black and first woman to lead the City of Blountstown, which is northeast of Panama City.Police say 52-year-old Harpool was found unresponsive in a bedroom at her home late Friday.
Authorities say there's no sign of foul play, but they're awaiting the medical examiner's determination on her cause of death.
