5-Year-Old Run Over On Beach

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 5-year-old boy was rushed to a local hospital on Thursday afternoon after he was run over by a car at Huguenot Park.A witness said a car was backing up and the driver just did not see the boy. The person said tire tracks were visible on the boy's back.Jacksonville Fire-Rescue told Channel 4 that the boy may have escaped serious injury because the incident happened in soft sand of the jetties.The boy's name and condition were not immediately released. Police had no information about whether the driver would face any charges.Huguenot Park is the only place in Duval County where cars are allowed to drive on the beach.
