JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The inmate who escaped the Duval County Jail on Adams Street has been captured, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police said 28-year-old Michael Glenn was working as a trustee when he walked away from the jail on Tuesday evening.
When he disappeared, he was one of five trustees cleaning up after a painting project on jail property.
Glenn was being held on violation of parole when he escaped. State records show he was convicted of lewd and lascivious behavior on a child in 1999 and had failed to register a new address as a sex offender in 2005.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced the inmate's capture Friday afternoon.
According to a police report, SWAT, K9 and Air 7 aided in Glenn's capture.
He was taken into custody at the Lamplighter Mobile Home Park, where he found hiding in a storage shed behind a mobile home.
Glenn is now facing a charge of escape from prison, jail, road camp or other penal institution.
