16 arrested, 4 sought in Nassau County drug sweep

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – The Nassau County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday announced the results of "Operation Game Over," which was aimed at reducing illegal drug activity.

Over the last few months, deputies said they have conducted numerous undercover drug operations within the community, and based on the operations, warrants were obtained on several people from Fernandina Beach, Callahan, Yulee and Jacksonville.

Investigators said they were able to arrest 16 felons and take them off the streets. A total of 31 charges were made, which included 30 felonies and 1 misdemeanor. Four individuals are still wanted on outstanding warrants. More charges and more arrests are anticipated, deputies said.

Numerous types of drugs were recovered ranging from marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, ecstasy, illegal prescription medication, and items of drug paraphernalia, deputies said. Detectives also seized $1,015 in cash.

"We're going to continue to investigate drug crimes in this county relentlessly," said Sheriff Bill Leeper. "Not only do we get the bad guy off the street, but we collect valuable information that will most assuredly help us solve other crimes. If you have knowledge of someone dealing illegal drugs within Nassau County please let us know."

Those still sought are Daniel Albertie, of Callahan and Jacksonville; Dewayne Jackson, of Jacksonville; Jerard Williams, of Fernandina Beach; and Stephen Williams, of Fernandina Beach.

Those arrested were Vincent Baker, Lillian Higgins, Gus Holcey, Mark Holcey, Jason Levin, Edwin Mack, Edward Manning, Delano Miller, Decarlos Richo, Debra Smith, Reshaud Stewart, Leroy Thompson, Curtis Tookes, Centaris Williams and Louis Williams.
