JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville police have asked for the public's help in their search for a suspect in several Wal-Mart fraud cases.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a victim reported a fraudulent credit card account had been opened through Wal-Mart Discover Card using her name and home address.
The victim told police she received a statement from Discover in January and that the credit card company also sent her two credit cards that she did not order. She said the statement showed a temporary card had been issued in January and that a $200 gift card was purchased along with a $1384.58 television.
The purchases were made at the Wal-Mart on San Jose Boulevard.
Wal-Mart provided video surveillance of the transaction, and 25-year-old Dustin Johnson was seen on video walking out of the store with a large television in a shopping cart with the receipt in hand.
The sheriff's office said detectives have received information that Johnson was a possible suspect in another case at the Wal-Mart on 103rd Street and that he is a suspect in several other Wal-Mart cases.
There is an active warrant out for Johnson's arrest.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Johnson is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500 or Crimestoppers at 866-845-TIPS to remain anonymous.
