It's election year and VICKI LAWRENCE thinks we could all use a good laugh, so she has taken her favorite character from "The CAROL BURNETT Show" and "Mama's Family" and nominated her for the highest office in the land in the just-released book, Mama for President: Good Lord, Why Not?

ET chats with the comedienne, who says, "I thought it would be fun to make people laugh. I was concerned that the book was too late, but these campaigns keep getting stupider and stupider ... By the time you get to November, you are so disgusted with everybody, you close your eyes and make an X."
