The Beverly Hills/Hollywood branch of the NAACP held its 18th Annual Theatre Awards on Monday night, with honorees including Vivica A. Fox and "American Idol."
Anthony Anderson ("Law & Order") and Kimberly Elise ('The Great Debaters') hosted the festivities at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Vivica was awarded the Spirit Award, while "Idol" was recognized with the Community Service Award for its "Idol Gives Back" fundraising telecast. The night also included a musical performance by R&B singer Mario ("Dancing with the Stars").
