JSO: don't know who fired the gunshots

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 16-year-old boy is recovering after being shot Monday night at the Sunoco gas station on Kings Road in Northweast Jacksonville. 

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the teen told officers he was with a friend at the gas station about 10 a.m. when they heard gunshots, one of which struck the boy.

The victim ran home and called police. He was taken to UF Health Jacksonville suffering a non-life-threatening injury.

Police have not said how many gunshots were fired.  At this time, officers don't have a description of the suspect(s).
