JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 17-year-old was shot and killed late Wednesday night in Northwest Jacksonville.
Jacksonville police were called to the 1400 block of Palmdale Street just before 11 p.m. Where they found Shavaris Wilkes lying in the road.

Police said Wilkes was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Police did not release any other details about the shooting or if they have identified a suspect.
