Transsexual Cited For Trespassing In Bus Bathroom

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A transsexual accuses the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and police of both discriminating over the use of restrooms.
This person was prevented from using a public women's restroom, even though the individual says he lives life every day as a woman.
This person does not want to be named, so Channel 4 is using the name Jordan.
Police cited Jordan for trespassing for entering the women's room at the main bus station on Bay Street.
Jordan was born a man, but has been taking female hormones for several years.
Jordan is still listed as a male on his driver's license.
Officers said Jordan was belligerent with police and JTA workers after being removed from the restroom.
"I feel like if I went to the male bathroom, it would bring more crazy reaction than going to a female bathroom," Jordan told Channel 4.
"Because he's a man, he don't need to be using no woman's bathroom," one bus customer said. "What if we came in and seen he's standing up instead of sitting down."
