3 Men Charged With Grand Theft

POSTED: Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Sheriff's deputies arrested three men Tuesday on suspicion of looting victims of Tropical Storm Fay.

Deputies arrested the men in Barefoot Bay near an area where a tornado was confirmed to have touched down earlier in the day.

The tornado damaged 54 homes and injured at least two people.

Officers said Ronald Parker, 48, Carlos Barreto, 21, and Kenneith Ftossel were taken into custody in connection with storm-related crimes.

The men were charged with grand theft.
