Missing 11-Year-Old Last Seen On Southside

UPDATED: 11:49 pm EDT August 29, 2008

Jacksonville police said they need the public's help finding an 11-year-old boy who has been missing since Monday.

Kishaud Allen was last seen in the area of St. Johns Bluff Road and Beach Boulevard on Monday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Kishaud is about 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 90 pounds. The boy was last seen wearing a green shirt and navy blue shorts.

Police said Kishaud may be with a 17-year-old white man, described as being 6 feet tall, who was last seen wearing a navy blue T-Shirt and white sneakers.

Police told Channel 4 on Monday Kishaud and the 17-year-old were supposed to be picked up from a mental health resource center on Beach Boulevard, but they said the two ran off into some nearby woods.

"Our main concern is the fact that he's an 11-year-old child who is not really able to fend for himself, and we just want to make sure we find him so that we know he is safe," said Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spokesman Ken Jefferson.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Kishaud is urged to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500.
