Suspect Arrested On Sarasota Warrant

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- A man suspected of sexually battery on a child in Sarasota was arrested last week in Clay County.The Clay County Sheriff's Office special victims unit detectives said they have been working with detectives from the Sarasota Police Department on a case involving the arrest of 30-year-old Edward Winn, Jr.Winn was arrested on a warrant out of Sarasota on charges of sexual battery on a child under 12 years of age and lewd and lascivious battery.According to the sheriff's office, Winn was living and working in Clay County over the last year. Detectives said they want to hear from anyone in the area who has any information about Winn.Authorities said they would like to encourage anyone who believes they were victimized by Winn to come forward with information by calling 904-264-6512.
