Carjackers Dangle Baby Outside SUV

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. -- A 10-month-old baby was dangled upside-down by her feet outside a sport utility vehicle during a Central Florida carjacking.
"He unbuckled the baby and held her up by her feet outside the car," carjacking victim Alyssa Gould told WKMG-TV. "He had the gun at me the whole time and I thought for sure that was it and he was going to shoot us."
Gould said she was ambushed while she sat in her Isuzu Trooper at the intersection of Domicilio Avenue and North Street Beach in Ormond beach over the weekend.
"The next thing I know, this guy is at my door and he opens up my driver's side door and sticks a gun in my side," Gould said.
Gould said her screams got to the carjacker and the man shoved her out of SUV but the man continued to keep the child.
She said she was then forced to beg for her baby girl's life before the child was released.
The SUV ran out of gas a few miles away.
The carjacker fled on foot and remains on the loose, police said.
Gould warned parents to think safety in all Central Florida neighborhoods.
"Make sure your doors are looked when you are driving around, even if you're in a safe neighborhood," Gould said.
Ormond Beach did not release a composite of the suspect.
Gould describes the man as having shoulder-length brown hair, a thin face with pockmarks and a bulb-shaped nose.
Anyone with information concerning the incident is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
