15-Year-Old Girl Critically Injured In Stabbing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 15-year-old girl was hospitalized Wednesday night after she was stabbed, Jacksonville Fire-Rescue Division spokesman Tom Francis said.
The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. in the 1,000 block of Maynard Street in northwest Jacksonville. The victim was transported to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center with what were described as critical injuries.
As of Thursday afternoon, police had not released the victim's name or the circumstances of the stabbing or said whether they had identified a suspect in the stabbing.
