JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- After living nearly a month without being any closer to knowing who shot and killed her son outside an apartment complex, the victim's mother spoke out on Monday and pleaded for answers.
Christoper Wolfe's mother, Victoria Wolfe-Morrison drove to Jacksonville from North Carolina in search of answers and said she won't stop until she gets justice for her son.
She said her two other children held her 20-year-old son as he took his last breath.
"They had to hold their brother and watch him die," Wolfe-Morrison said.
Jacksonville police said someone called 911 on Oct. 28 just before midnight after hearing gunshots ring out.
The 20 year-old man's body was found outside an apartment at the Grand Court Apartment complex on Blanding Boulevard. Police said there could have been some sort of disturbance before the shooting, but they don't know exactly what happened.
"It needs to stop. We need answers and we're not going to rest until we get answers. Every day another parent is burying their child. We need to be burying our parents, not them burying us. Someone is burying their child every day and it's wrong," said Wolfe's friend, Dondre Holmes.
Wolfe-Morrison said she has a message for the person who pulled the trigger over and over again and killed her son.
"I just hope and pray every night to ask God to give me the strength to say that I can forgive you but you've got to pay for my son's death," Wolfe-Morrison said. "He has to pay."
Anyone with information about the Oct. 28 shooting is asked to call Crimestoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
