Barge Burns Under Bridge Of Lions

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Bridge of Lions reopened Tuesday morning after a construction barge under the bridge caught fire overnight.Investigators said the fire started about 3 a.m. on a barge that supplies electricity to welders working on the bridge. It took about 20 minutes before firefighters put it out.There was no word on what caused the fire.A planned closing of the bridge will occur Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to accommodate a large concrete pour on the new structure. Traffic to and from Anastasia Island must use state Road 312 during the detour.
