It's like a floating museum about Florida.
In celebration of Ponce de Leon's landing in St. Augustine 500 years ago, the 17th century replica ship El Galeon is now docked in the historic city.
The big ship is parked at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina.
It took about one and half years to build, and now it's a chance for you and your family to get a unique glimpse of our state's history.
"It's here to celebrate Florida's history, 500 years since the Europeans first came to Florida's shores and how it has evolved," said Glenn Hastings, of the El Galeon tour. "It's intended to be inclusive and really get people to understand that Florida is a lot more than the beach and sun and some of the other things we know now, but this is really where a lot of American history started."
The El Galeon will be docked in St. Augustine until June 9. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children 12 years old and younger.
