1 Dies, 1 Hurt, 1 Flees In Single-Vehicle Wreck

POSTED: Friday, November 21, 2008

One person was killed, a second was injured and a third was seen running away after a single-vehicle wreck on Woodlawn Road at Heritage Park early Friday morning.

Deputies said the driver lost control of the pickup truck about 3 a.m. and the vehicle flipped over. The person who died was ejected.

The injured person was flown to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center by air ambulance.

Deputies were looking for the third person. It's not clear if he was a driver, passenger or a witness.
