Police suspect foul play in the death of a woman in her 20s.

Family members found Danielle Stubbs on the floor of her kitchen just before 10 p.m. Sunday. They went looking for her because she normally spends her day off with her mother.

Stubbs said the back door of the home was open and her car was missing.

"She was lying in a puddle of blood," said the victim's father, Harold Stubbs.

Neighbors told Channel 4 they heard what they believed was the victim's mother in the front yard shouting, "That animal took my baby."

Detectives still at the scene early Monday would not say how the Stubbs, but did say she was killed.

Stubbs' family said they have an idea who may have killed her, but police would not confirm if they had identified a suspect.

Harold Stubbs said his daughter worked two jobs to pay for her new home and she was excited to be getting on with her life.

"She is a beautiful girl; very bubbly, infectious personality," he told Channel 4's Jim Piggott.

Area resident Linda Eggerson said she had recently met her new neighbor. She feels for the family.

"I can imagine what's going through their mind," Eggerson said. "I sit back and think about, gosh, what if was my daughter ... I come and find out something happened to her. How would I react? How would respond to something like that?"

Anyone with information about Stubbs' slaying is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
