Orlando police said they were called about 3:50 p.m. to the Parkwood Inn on W. Colonial Drive -- across the street from the headquarters of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.  The baby girl was rushed to Winnie Palmer Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The baby's death is considered suspicious because the girl had unexplained injuries, Orlando police said.

Police obtained a search warrant for the unit where the baby lived with her mother and mother's boyfriend. The couple was being interviewed and were cooperating, police said. No arrests have been made.

Neighbors told WKMG-TV that the mother and her boyfriend had moved in within the last few days and that they have been seen arguing with each other.

Neighbors heard that the baby might have fallen, but police could not confirm that.

Police said they expect to have more information after a medical examiner performs an autopsy.
