CALLER: Hello? Hello? There were 14 people aboard the boat. Five died at the scene. Of the nine who survived, seven were rushed to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center, four people were taken by ambulance and three were transported by air. Two others were taken to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.Shortly after 7 p.m., the Shand's trauma center went on alert and was ready for a mass-casualty situation."We just do whatever it takes to get the patient taken care of," said Director of Trauma Dr. Miren Schinco. "Triage happens when the patients hit the door. It's a system where most injured patients get taken care of first."She told Channel 4 the seven patients from the boating tragedy were dealing with a wide range of injuries from the impact of when their boat plowed into the tug."A lot of blunt trauma, head injuries, fractures, internal injuries. "She was a wonderful person. She loved her friends and family. She leaves a lot of loved ones and people who loved her."Carretero's body will be flown back to California on Wednesday, Flewell said. The nine people who were transported to Shands and the Mayo Clinic are Justin Moore, of Ponte Vedra Beach; Melvin D.
