ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- Deputies with the Clay County Sheriff's Office spent more than six hours investigating a homicide Thursday evening.
Detectives converged on a home on Gifford Avenue not far from Tanglewood Park in Orange Park at about 4 p.m.
Investigators told Channel 4 they were working in conjunction with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office searching the last known residence of 30-year-old Terrance Decatur. Decatur's body was found in a wooded area along some railroad tracks on Jacksonville's Westside earlier this week.
CSX police spotted the man's body at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday near tracks in the 5300 block of West First Street. Police said they suspect foul play in Decatur's death.
Clay County investigators were working to learn what might have led to Decatur's death.
"We're processing the scene right now. So, we're in the very early stages of the scene here," said Lt. Joe Bucci.
Anyone with information about Decatur's death is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500, or he or she can remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
