Baby Found Unresponsive In Tub Dies

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 1-year-old girl rushed to an area hospital Tuesday afternoon after being found unresponsive in a unit of a Northside apartment complex has died, police said.The incident took place at the Mission Pointe Apartments on Biscayne Boulevard.Police said the first 911 call they received was about a baby not breathing. Then, they received a second call about a baby possibly in a bathtub.The girl was taken to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center, where she later died.Investigators told Channel 4 it was unclear exactly what happened to the baby. That is part of their investigation.A homicide unit with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the apartment complex to investigate.
