Benefits to Hiring Retirees

POSTED: Tuesday, June 16, 2009

According to RetirementJobs.com, 60% of retirees returning to work are looking for full-time jobs. Compare that to last year, when only 25% of retirees were looking for full-time work. Rose Conry, with Employment Resources and Solutions, appeared on the Morning Show to share four benefits to hiring retirees.

1.) They have business insight - retirees should sell their experience 2.) Great attendance - Conry says older workers have a better attendance rate than younger workers 3.) Workplace maturity - Conry says older workers are less likely to get involved in office politics or gossip 4.) Saves company money - older workers may be more flexible, thus working part-time instead of full-time. They may not need company benefits either.

If you need more information and advice from Rose Conry, you can reach Employment Resources and Solutions at 904-215-1313.
