Deputy May Have Fatally Shot Man

Man Fired Shots After Deputies Arrived At Home In Geneva, Officials Say

POSTED: Sunday, June 28, 2009

Investigators in Seminole County are trying to determine if a man was fatally shot by deputies or himself.

Kenneth Keefer was shot dead at a home on Flint Trail in Geneva Saturday morning after deputies were called to a domestic disturbance.

Deputies told WKMG-TV that Keefer was making threats and waving a handgun and fired shots. A deputy returned fire, and Keefer was found dead a short time later.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the shooting.
