Fire Guts Apartment; 11 Residents Displaced

Early-Morning Fire In NW Jacksonville Guts At Least 1 Apartment

An early-morning fire has displaced 11 residents, including three children, according to Jacksonville Fire Rescue.

Firefighters responded to a 911 call at about 2:30 a.m. Monday at the Washington Heights apartments in the 4200 block of Moncrief Road in Northwest Jacksonville. At least one apartment was gutted.

No one was injured in the fire. The Red Cross is at the apartments providing assistance to the displaced residents.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is under investigation.
