UPDATED: 1:04 pm EDT July 3, 2009

A man accused of killing a witness to a previous slaying pleaded not guilty Thursday afternoon.

Alex Rackley is charged with killing Karen Wood. Police said someone told them Rackley admitted to the crime. The tipster said Rackley said Wood "knew too much."

Wood's body was found in a field in Riverside last month. Police said Wood had witnessed a murder.

Rackley is being held without bond in the Duval County jail.
