A Putnam County man died Friday morning after he lost control of his car while taking a curve.

According the the Florida Highway Patrol, 44-year-old Aubrey L. Brown, of Crescent City, lost control of his car while going around a curve on Georgetown Denver Road. After hitting a road sign, he overcorrected the car, and struck a tree, which caused the car to flip. It then hit a utility trailer in a yard and came to rest on its roof.

There were no other cars involved in the accident. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
