OCALA, Fla. – A 1-year-old child died Sunday morning after he fell into a hole in the ground containing water.
Marion County Sheriff's Office says that Wyatt Steed, 1, died after he wandered away from his guardian while walking around outside.

The hole, which is located at Greenfield Apartments on SE 29th Place in Ocala, was 23 inches long and 30 inches wide, with an undetermined depth of water, deputies said.
Deputies performed CPR while waiting for medics to arrive. Steed was transported to the hospital, where he passed away around noon on Sunday.
Marion County Sheriff's Office Crimes detectives are investigating.
