COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -

Two men were arrested in Columbia County in connection with a methamphetamine bust Wednesday.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office arrested Alan Dam, 30, and Jonathon Cardona, 20, during a routine traffic stop on Interstate 75.

Deputies said the men were originally stopped for speeding, and after they gave consent, a deputy searched their vehicle and found a plastic tub containing crystal meth.

The men are from Atlanta and were returning from a trip to South Florida when they were stopped, deputies said.

Both men have been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and several other charges. They are being held without bail.

The value of the meth seized is $150,000, making it the largest meth seizure for the Columbia County Sheriff's Office in recent history.
