Traffic stop for speeding in Columbia County leads to other charges

LAKE CITY, Fla. -

A traffic stop Monday afternoon by the Florida Highway Patrol on Interstate 75 near Lake City led to the arrest of two men.

The FHP said a trooper pulled over James Lee Moody, 26, about 4 p.m. for driving 94 mph in a 70 mph zone.

During the stop the trooper discovered the 2012 Volkswagen that was being driven was stolen out of Tallahassee.

During the stop it was also discovered that the passenger, Terrance Lee Moody, 25, had a warrant in Alabama for obstruction of justice and for identity theft.

James was arrested for grand theft auto. Terrance was also arrested without incident.
