JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Two Jacksonville public libraries will close temporarily in April to undergo improvements.

Southeast Regional Library, located at 10599 Deerwood Park Blvd., will be closed April 2-4 while improvements are made to the customer service area. The library will reopen at 10 a.m. April 5. Customers may continue to return materials through the exterior book drops during that time.

The customer service desk will be redesigned for easier and more efficient checkout of materials and an additional self-check machine will be added.

The free tax assistance workshop offered by the American Association of Retired Persons and the United Way's RealSense Prosperity Campaign will be held as previously scheduled on April 3 from 1-5 p.m. For more information, click here.

Improvements are funded through a State Aid to Libraries grant and the Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library.

Regency Square Branch Library, located at 9900 Regency Square Blvd., will be closed April 7-22 for air conditioning repair work. The library will reopen at 10 a.m. April 23. Customers may continue to return materials through the exterior book drops during that time.

Free tax assistance workshops will be held as previously scheduled on April 9 from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. and April 13 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, click here.
