BALDWIN, Fla. -

Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with a suspected meth lab in Baldwin.

Investigators went to Hawkins Motel in the 200 block of U.S. Highway 90 at U.S. Highway 301 at about 9:30 a.m.

Police said probation and parole officers went to the motel to meet with 23-year-old Cody Hodges about his probation status and they saw drug paraphernalia in plain view inside his motel room.

Once inside the motel room, they realized they were dealing with a possible meth lab and decided to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad to investigate, police said.

Police said they found crack pipes, ephedrine, hypodermic needles and various chemicals used in manufacturing methamphetamines inside the room.

Hodges and 32-year-old Justin Hendrix were arrested.

Police said no one was injured. Both men were booked into the Duval County Jail.
