Two police cruisers were involved in a six-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 northbound at 20th Street early Thursday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
It all began just before 6 a.m. when a vehicle went off the highway and flipped upside down. Two JSO officers responded to that crash.
While the officers were on that scene, an SUV tried to enter I-95 northbound and hit the side of a tractor-trailer, which then hit a school bus. No children were on board.
The tractor-trailer then pushed the SUV into a fence and hit the two JSO patrol cars that were already on scene.

Four people were transported to the hospital with non-serious injuries, according to Tom Francis, a spokesman for Jacksonville Fire-Rescue.
"My heart sank when I saw the crash, but fortunately everyone that was transported was transported in non-life-threatening condition with no serious injuries," JSO spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda said.
Authorities said there was another crash in the southbound lanes of I-95 that was unrelated to the original wreck. One person was transported from that scene with non-life-threatening injuries.
Just after 9 a.m., all lanes of I-95 were reopened to traffic.
