Man Stabbed; Walks To Hospital
Police Investigating Incident At Boulevard and W. 8th Streets

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was stabbed early Friday morning at a park in Springfield and walked himself to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Officers responded to Shands hospital at about 12:45 a.m. when a call came in about a man who walked in with what appeared to be several stab wounds. He told police the incident happened at Springfield Park, near the corner of Boulevard and West 8th streets.
"When they got there, they found that he received what looked like several cuts on his body. He walked himself to the hospital and at this point he's in critical condition at Shands," said Sgt. T.K. Waters.
Channel 4's Steve Douglas said a large portion of the park is roped off with crime scene tape. Police were processing the scene early Friday, but police said they have no one in custody in connection with the stabbing.
