Carnival Reopens Three Days After Ride Collapse
An investigation continues in to Friday night's accident, which left several people trapped and three with minor injuries.
"We were very, very fortunately that we didn't have any serious injuries," carnival manager Cory Heatherly said. "I guess God was shining on us."
Several tons of metal that collapsed also caused major damage to the pavement of the parking lot, which is also being repaired.
The carnival shut down all weekend while the accident was investigated and the area was cleared.
The carnival reopened at 5 p.m. Monday, and a new ride is being installed in place of the Evolution, but some peole were skeptical.
Carnival officials told Channel 4's Joyce Morgan said that people who attended Friday and still have their arm bands can come back for a refund or free admission.
