PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Channel 4 has obtained video of Misty Cummings, the stepmother of missing Putnam County girl Haleigh Cummings, under hypnosis.

Misty agreed to go under earlier this week in Central Florida. She said she did it to clear her name.

The video shows an expert trying to hypnotize Misty to help her remember what happened the night of Feb. 10 just before Haleigh disappeared.

From the beginning, it appears Misty is skeptical of what she's about to do.

"All I heard is that you can make someone say something they didn't," Misty told the hypnotist. "They said that I may know the person that did it. I may know the person that did it, but I don't know whether they came in my home. I never heard that they were coming to take Haleigh."

She insisted she has no idea who took her stepdaughter.

The forensic hypnotist has Misty begin by counting from one to 100. With her eyes closed, Misty begins to recount how the day started, with Haleigh going to school.

Then Misty said Haleigh came home and was playing. She said Haleigh eventually went to bed on the night of Feb. 9.

"I covered her up with her blanket," Misty told the hypnotist.

Misty said she went to bed later that night and then woke up around 3 a.m. to a light on.

"I seen the backdoor was open," Misty said.

She said within minutes, she noticed Haleigh wasn't in bed.

Despite her story, the expert said the attempt to hypnotize Misty failed because Misty seemed to be fighting going under.

It was one of three different tests administered by T.J. Ward, a private investigator from Atlanta who traveled to Florida on Monday.

Ward also gave Misty an audio analysis test, which he said shows she is not telling the whole story.

"I'm trying to think. I've been thinking for six months," Misty said in the video from audio analysis test. "I don't know. I don't know if I've seen something in my sleep. That's why I'm going to take the hypnosis, cause I don't know."

During a lengthy interview, Misty is asked time and again if she knows what happened to Haleigh. She said she doesn't know.

Ward keeps asking her on the tape why she's holding back information.

"I can see it," Ward said to Misty. "There's things going on with you about Haleigh going missing that you're not telling anybody."

"There's nothing that I'm not telling nobody," Misty told Ward. "I've told everybody everything that I know. I don't know what you're trying to get out of me. I'm 17 years old. I mean, what do you think? How much can a 17-year-old take?"

Ward said he turned the results of the audio analysis test over to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

Channel 4 was told that Misty also failed a polygraph test set up by the owner of the search team that helped investigators look for Haleigh when she disappeared.

Haleigh hasn't been seen since February. Her disappearance has gained national attention.

Even though investigators said they have thousands of leads, there is still no sign of the 6-year-old.
