Man Drowns In Cocoa Beach Surf

Authorities have pulled the body of a 47-year-old man from the surf in Cocoa Beach. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Lifeguards pulled the Kissimmee man from the water about 5 p.m. Saturday and performed CPR. He was pronounced dead at Cape Canaveral Hospital,

The man's name was not released. Cocoa Beach police are investigating the cause of death.

A moderate rip current threat was forecast for Central Florida beaches this weekend.
