Hank Croslin Jr., who is in jail on grand theft charges, was questioned by Putnam County police Thursday night about the disappearance of the missing 6-year-old girl Haleigh Cummings.

Croslin Jr., the brother of Haleigh's stepmom Misty Cummings, was arrested Tuesday on charges unrelated to Haleigh's disappearance and is being held on $50,000 bond.

Police said they interviewed three other people currently in the Putnam County jail about Haleigh's disappearance.

Croslin Jr. was seen being taken from the criminal investigation room back to the jail Thursday around 10 p.m.

Investigators told Channel 4's Jennifer Bauer that it is common to question jail inmates while they are in custody.

Investigators told Channel 4's Jim Piggott that they didn't learn anything from Croslin Jr. but will keep talking to him.

Police said they wanted to dispel rumors from earlier Thursday that they were searching or had found Haleigh. They said that's not the case.

Police said they will have three more people come to the jail for questioning on Friday.

Investigators called Misty Cummings, the last person to see Haleigh the night she went missing, the key person in the investigation. They said knowing her brother was currently in jail gave them all the more reason to question him.
