20-year-old gets life for murder, robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Enrique Pajaro, 20, was sentenced to life without parole plus five years in prison Tuesday afternoon for his involvement in the 2012 murder of Robert Scott.

Pajaro was convicted last week on charges first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Prosecutors say Pajaro and his co-defendant, Merienne Blake, arranged to meet the victim, Robert Scott, at Blake's home and get high in In March 2012.

After Scott passed out from using drugs, Pajaro and Blake stole the drugs, smoked them and then attacked the victim in his sleep. Pajaro beat the victim multiple times with a hammer. Scott tried to defend himself, but Pajaro continued to attack, choking him to death.

The victim's 3-year-old daughter was in the home at the time of the attack.
