ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A Ponte Vedra Beach mother has now spent more than one week in jail following her arrest on extortion charges.
For several days, Quinn Gray didn't even have a lawyer as she sat in the St. Johns County Jail.
Now, she does have legal representation but still hasn't bonded out. Her bond is set at $1 million.
Gray's attorney has not filed for a bond reduction, which could lead to her release. However, he told Channel 4's Jim Piggott he plans to file that motion Friday.
According to court records, Gray's attorney filed a motion asking prosecutors to turn over all evidence and surveillance material they have in this case.
It's a routine motion, but it shows the case is moving forward. Once the motion goes through, the evidence will become public.
Police still maintain that Gray plotted to fake her own kidnapping and extort $50,000 from her husband. Gray has denied that and said she is the victim in this case.
