ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The nation's oldest city has attractions that bring in people from all over, but some are just a little harder to find.
The people behind an Orlando-based ghost-hunting show brought their cameras to St. Augustine in hopes of catching some supernatural sights.
The TV crew set up shop at the Spanish Military Hospital near the Bridge of Lions over the weekend, trying to connect with the "long-lost souls of soldiers."
On the outside, the hospital is a pretty nondescript building in the old city. Inside, though, it's filled with things like historic medicines and bleeding cups.
But there may be something else in the building that's seen its fair share of death.
"Supposedly we have doors that open and close," hospital curator Diane Lane said. "They have actually, supposedly, caught an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) of a young man who was wailing here claiming that he lost his life. I'm not sure about that. Legends are always fun."
That's why the TV show "Ghost Trackers," which airs on the Sci Fi channel has been to the old hospital.
"It was the fourth time they had investigated this building," Lane said. "It seems to have quite of history of things going bump in the night, and so they wanted to again come through to see if they could find some more of our spirits that reside here, and then they're going to present one of their entire episodes on what they found here in the hospital."
A lot of locals said they've noticed some ghostly things over the years.
"It's a beautiful city, but if you look into the history, it's quite a dark history there," one local said. "A lot of war here, a lot of death."
The date has not yet been announced for when the episode will appear on the Sci Fi channel.
