ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. -- Quinn Gray's attorney said she is getting "treatment for her trauma" and that he needs you to help clear his client's name.
The 37-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach wife and mother charged with extortion bonded out of the St. Johns County jail just after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Now she's at St. Simons By The Sea, a mental health and addiction treatment facility in southeast Georgia.
Gray's attorney, Mark Miller, said she needs the help after what he described as "being kidnapped and then spending 21 nights in jail." He also said regardless of what police say, this case is not solved.
Miller said anyone who has any information about Gray's kidnapping over the Labor Day weekend to come forward and call police.
"There's a lot of unanswered questions, and people with information need to contact them and get to the bottom of it," Miller said. "The right things will happen to the right people.
Miller denied the allegations from investigators that Gray faked her own kidnapping with her boyfriend Jasmin Osmanovic then tried to extort $50,000 from her husband.
"When this is all said and done, it's going to be very clear that she was abducted on Sept. 4 and released on Sept. 7," Miller said.
Gray agreed to go to the St. Simons Island facility to get court-ordered treatment as part of the conditions for her release.
"Whatever treatment she gets is going to be after an evaluation and an analysis, and I'm sure a team of individuals will analyze what she needs," Miller said.
Miller did not say what specifically Gray will be treated for, but the center offers acute care for mental illnesses and drug addiction. He said that's where she needs to be.
"She was abducted, held against her will for four days, and then was subsequently and held for 21 days," Miller said. "I believe that would be traumatic to anybody."
