DAYTONA, Fla. -- A Daytona north man was arrested by Flagler County sheriff's deputies early Friday morning in connection with an Oct. 1 house burglary.
Detectives said he may face additional burglary charges.
Archie Thomas, 40, was being held in the Flagler County Inmate Facility on the burglary charge and one charge of grand theft. Bond was set at $7,500.
Detectives said on Oct. 1 sometime after 7:30 a.m., Thomas entered a nearby home on Hickory Street, where he took some $5,000 worth of jewelry. Several gold rings and gold necklaces belonging to the victim were pawned five days later at a south Daytona pawn shop.
Thomas was arrested after deputies and detectives executed a search warrant at the Hickory Street home.
Detectives are asking anyone who has been a victim of a home burglary in the last three months to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 386-586-4801 for identification of recovered stolen property.
Arrested with Thomas were Honesty Gervais, 30, and Kenneth Rose, 28, who were each charged with possession of an altered firearm, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were being held in the inmate facility on $3,500 bond each.
Detectives said Gervais and Rose were inside the home. Gervais told detectives that she and Rose "sleep on the couch." Detectives said they found a 9 mm handgun under one of the couch cushions. They said a grocery bag containing the marijuana and a ceramic pipe was found on the couch.
