Hear Big-Name Speakers For Cheap Price

Motivational Speakers Will Appear At Arena On Nov. 2

You may have seen a newspaper ad for a business seminar offering some big names for less than the cost of some fast-food combo meals.

For less than $5, you can hear from people like Laura Bush, Colin Powell and Rudy Giuliani speaking at the Jacksonville Arena.

It almost sounds too good to be true, but it's the real deal.

The question is, will all of the speakers actually be in Jacksonville? Will they be live in person and not by satellite?

Organizers from Get Motivated, the group sponsoring the event, said yes, the speakers will all be in town.

Giuliani, Bush and Powell are just an example of the lineup set to be speaking in Jacksonville on Nov. 2. It's an impressive array.

"Absolutely live and in person, that is really the exciting thing about what we do," organizer Tamara Lowe said. "We are just able to bring these people that normally there would not be an audience for, and we bring them live and in person. It's a fabulous, fun day."

What is even more impressive is the price of the tickets -- $4.95 a person. That's cheaper than a matinee movie.

It's $19 for an entire office to attend. Those cheap seats are in the upper deck. You have to order those ahead of time because if you go the day of the event, the price jumps to $225 per person.

"We get these guys up close and personal with our audience members," Lowe said. "They share the secrets of their success."

High-power speakers mean high-level security.

"We have an excellent security team,” Lowe said. “We coordinate with local authorities and a great police presence and medics on scene.”

Another reason organizers said they can do this so cheap is they want to get people to the seminar. They believe it’s something everyone should see.
