Man Dies In Rip Current North Of Daytona

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- One man is dead and several others had to be rescued after rip currents moved in off the coast Saturday afternoon.Volusia County beach patrol officers told WKMG-TV they had to make a few dozen rescues in the areas off North Volusia County.Officers said three people were transported after they were rescued from rips.One of the people transported, a man, was pronounced dead at the hospital.Another man and pregnant woman were also taken to the hospital, but are expected to live.Volusia County beach patrol said they are expecting the same conditions Sunday as easterly winds continue.
