ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The story of Ponte Vedra housewife Quinn Gray is going global.
If you go to
www.yahoo.com and type in her name, dozens of stories pop up, including one from the United Kingdom.
The headline reads, "Florida housewife staged her own kidnap."
Now news magazine shows like "Inside Edition" and other newspapers and TV programs including The Huffington Post, MSNBC and Oprah are taking interest, too.
"This is a remarkable story," said Paul Boyd, an anchor for "Inside Edition," which airs on Channel 4. "I mean, the allegations here are extraordinary."
Boyd spoke to Channel 4 by phone Wednesday about why the story has catapulted into the national spotlight.
"It's captivating, compelling, dynamic, fluid," he said. "The story seems to be ever-changing and the characters are interesting to watch."
The characters Boyd's referring to are Gray and her alleged boy toy Jasmin Osmanovic.
"Inside Edition" said the story reads like something straight out of a Hollywood thriller.
But Gray said what happened is very real. In fact, her lawyers even appeared on NBC's "Today" show on Tuesday to reiterate her claims that Osmanovic kidnapped her.
It's a story that likely won't be going away anytime soon. "Inside Edition" said you can count on that.
"We're trying to find out what is the truth here," Boyd said. "We're searching for answers just like everybody else."
