An 11-year-old Gainesville girl stepped right into her role as a big sister to a newborn baby girl.

Kierra Nubin called 911 and helped her mom deliver the baby when the big moment came before they could get to the hospital.

Operator: 911, what's the address on the emergency?

Caller: I need an ambulance now.

Operator: I'm going to get you some help, what's the address?

Caller: My mom's going to have a baby. ... She says she's feeling like she's going to have the baby. She's in a lot of pain.

The 11-year-old girl appeared to stay pretty calm throughout the call.

Operator: Allow her to assume the most comfortable position, and have her to take deep breaths between contractions, OK?

Caller: She says get in a comfortable position and take deep breaths.

Operator: Just let her know they're coming as fast as they can, OK?

Caller: They're coming as fast as they can.

Operator: You guys can see the head now?

Caller: I can't but she's holding it.

Operator: She can see the head?

Caller: She says it's going to come out.

Moments later, Marnia was born.

Caller: It's coming! It's coming!

Operator: It's coming?

Caller: Uh huh.

Operator: OK, what part of the baby are you seeing?

Caller: The head.

Operator: I want you to get some dry towels and blanket to wrap the baby in, OK?

Caller: It came out!

Operator: It came out!
