Girl Called 911 When Mom Went Into Labor Before Getting To Hospital

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- An 11-year-old Gainesville girl stepped right into her role as a big sister to a newborn baby girl.
Kierra Nubin called 911 and helped her mom deliver the baby when the big moment came before they could get to the hospital.
Operator: 911, what's the address on the emergency?
Caller: I need an ambulance now.
Operator: I'm going to get you some help, what's the address?
Caller: My mom's going to have a baby. ... She says she's feeling like she's going to have the baby. She's in a lot of pain.
The 11-year-old girl appeared to stay pretty calm throughout the call.
Operator: Allow her to assume the most comfortable position, and have her to take deep breaths between contractions, OK?
Caller: She says get in a comfortable position and take deep breaths.
Operator: Just let her know they're coming as fast as they can, OK?
Caller: They're coming as fast as they can.
Operator: You guys can see the head now?
Caller: I can't but she's holding it.
Operator: She can see the head?
Caller: She says it's going to come out.
Moments later, Marnia was born.
Caller: It's coming! It's coming!
Operator: It's coming?
Caller: Uh huh.
Operator: OK, what part of the baby are you seeing?
Caller: The head.
Operator: I want you to get some dry towels and blanket to wrap the baby in, OK?
Caller: It came out!
Operator: It came out!
